Ford Transit Van Design

I recently had the opportunity to work with Apogee Fab and friends on designing the interior of their Ford Transit van.

Designing the van interior was a fun challenge as nearly every piece is functional and needs to stand up to lots of wear and tear while still feeling like a comfortable place to live.

We landed on clear coated wood panels for the walls and ceiling bringing a lot of warmth and brightness into the space. Dark walnut cabinets, blue countertops, and the orange bench cushions create clear spaces for eating and sleeping.

Working on this project was made easier by the genius design from @apogeefab. With a background in theater design it’s no surprise they manage to make every inch of the van functional and beautiful. And that overhead lighting 🥰
